Amber Treadway recently arrived at writing musicals from stage directing. She holds a BFA in Directing from Columbia College Chicago, and has directed for Fresh Squeezed Opera, American Composers Orchestra, and OperaRox, specializing in new work. She is currently seeking a composer for her next project, a musical about 17th century scientist/philosopher/eccentric Margaret Cavendish. A recovering Ozarks redneck, she lives in upper Manhattan.
